2. SMS MESSAGING PROGRAM

A. Program Description

Safe Place Counseling offers an SMS messaging program to support clients, prospective clients, and referral partners. Through this program, we may send messages related to:

• Appointment reminders, confirmations, and scheduling updates
• Intake and onboarding information
• Care coordination and follow-up communications
• Administrative notices related to your services
• Responses to inquiries you submit to us

This is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or medical emergency, call 911 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline immediately.

B. How to Opt In

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Safe Place Counseling in the following ways:

• By providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent box on our intake forms (Child Intake, Adult Intake, or Referral Form) at safeplacecounseling.org
• By providing written consent during your in-office intake process
• By replying START or YES to a message from us confirming your enrollment
• By submitting a request through our contact form and providing your mobile phone number with consent to be contacted

You may only opt in with a mobile number you own or are authorized to use. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

C. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your relationship with Safe Place Counseling and your active care plan. You may receive messages when appointments are scheduled, rescheduled, or cancelled, and at other times as needed to support your care.

D. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Safe Place Counseling does not charge you for messages, but your mobile carrier may charge fees based on your plan. Contact your mobile carrier for details.

E. Opting Out

You may opt out of the SMS messaging program at any time. Reply STOP to any message from us to be unsubscribed. After you opt out, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been removed from the program, and no further messages will be sent. To re-enroll, reply START or contact us using the information in Section 10.

G. Privacy of Messaging Data

Your mobile phone number, SMS consent, and the contents of your text messages with us will never be sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may only be shared with service providers (such as our messaging platform) that are contractually bound to protect your information and use it solely to operate the messaging program on our behalf. H. Supported Carriers

The SMS program is available on most major U.S. mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

3. USE OF THE WEBSITE

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the website. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress to any other user, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our website.
